So, here I sit at home clad in boxers, slippers and a robe, typing merrily away on the old LJ.  It feels good.  In fact, it feels damned good.  I know there's a ton of things around the house that I need to do--and I'll get to them in short enough order--but for the moment, this cup and coffee and I have a date with the keyboard.

I am typing this at home.  The DSL is active.  What a journey it's been.

A quick note: I am indeed still alive, and did not die in the move. Unfortunately, I am typing this at work because either SBC or UPS is incompetent and sent our modem to the wrong address. This means that it will be at least until Monday, possibly Tuesday, before I am hooked up at home. So, le sigh... however, it means I get to spend much more ( Read more... )

Okay, I'm getting ready to dissaemble the house network as our mound of boxes grows and therefore I'll be going offline for a little while... hopefully no more than until the 3rd of November, when net access will be installed at the new house. As some of you may be aware, we are moving this weekend and therefore the communication may soon become a little spotty.  No fears about me fading away; we have already ordered SBC DSL for the new house, and therefore I will soon be able to bombard you all with my bombastic bellowing once more.
